Matt contributes a diverse portfolio of skills to Thrive, including more than 20 years of business and functional leadership and more than 15 years of successfully driving revenue growth for both venture-backed and Fortune 500 organizations in the medical technology and molecular diagnostics industries.
Matt holds a B.A. from Northwestern University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Most recently, Matt served as chief business officer for ArcherDX, a growth-stage personalized diagnostics company, where he was responsible for scaling or establishing a number of global commercial functions, including sales, customer support, marketing, market access, business development and corporate development.
Prior to joining ArcherDX, Matt was the senior vice president of global marketing and clinical product strategy for Foundation Medicine, a company dedicated to transforming cancer care by identifying molecular alterations in each patient’s unique cancer and matching them with potential targeted therapies and immunotherapies. There, he led the commercialization of Foundation Medicine’s next-generation product portfolio including the company’s first liquid biopsy offering and the industry’s first FDA-approved, CMS-covered, comprehensive pan-cancer companion diagnostic assay.
Before that, Matt held a number of progressive leadership positions in marketing and product management for Guidant, ev3 and Boston Scientific, culminating with his role as vice president of global marketing for Boston Scientific’s $2B Interventional Cardiology division, where he was responsible for a broad portfolio of regulated products in more than 100 markets worldwide.
Prior to his transition into the medical technology market, Matt began his career in the technology industry as a management consultant, program manager and software development leader.
