We are seeking a Principal/Senior Scientist, Computational Biology to lead the development and optimization of computational biology methods for highly accurate detection of cancer biomarkers.  Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work at the cutting-edge of the cancer diagnostics industry and expand their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.   • Lead development and optimization of computational biology methods for highly accurate detection of cancer biomarkers from liquid biopsy clinical samples
  • Partner with molecular biologists, process engineers and cross-functional teams to design and deliver fully integrated sample-to-results clinical diagnostic workflows that meet product and operational requirements
  • Partner with Regulatory, Technology and Operations teams to support design transfer and deployment of product workflows including analytical validation, systems integration with technology infrastructure and quality systems, and applications support
  • Communicate results in internal and external forums to support scientific, regulatory and business objectives


  • PhD or equivalent with deep technical experience in computational biology or bioinformatics
  • 5+ years working in industry and growing teams of computational biologists, bioinformaticians, or data scientists; experience in cancer diagnostics or biopharma is preferred
  • Strong high-level programming skills (eg Python, R), deep familiarity with open source bioinformatics tools and experience building custom methods for analysis of NGS data that are suitable for future deployment as enterprise applications
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with molecular biologists and other wet lab scientists to iteratively design, test and deploy fully integrated end-to-end clinical lab assays under design control and aligned to an evolving product roadmap
  • Working knowledge of cancer genomics, clinical samples, NGS sample preparation and proteomics workflows
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects as part of a small team with matrixed resources
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and an ability to adapt to increasing opportunities and responsibilities as our team rapidly grows
